This
is the plaque on the house wall which commemorates the day when Glasgow House
sent out the first
four in the 1822 St. Leger Stakes. It is said they left the yard in the
very same order that they finished in the race! |

Chris Fairhurst
Succeeded his
father, Tommy 'Squeak' Fairhurst in 1994 and is the latest in a long line of
trainers at Glasgow House. Chris himself rode more than fifty jump winners before
he became a trainer.
|

Judy Fairhurst
Judy rode
races as an amateur lady rider and was a junior show jumper! |

Together the Fairhursts`
take a very active 'hands on' part in the running of their yard and can be
seen riding out daily.
They encourage syndicate
ownership and partnerships and are supported by a loyal and hardworking
staff.
Any
of their owners will tell you that it is more like one big family at
Glasgow House Stables and you will always be made welcome when you come to
visit your horses...
